Animal testing for cosmetics is STILL happening as we go into 2020! πŸ’‰πŸ Neither the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) nor the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission *require* animal testing for cosmetics or household products. There are sufficient existing safety data as well as in vitro alternatives to make animal testing for these products obsolete. (Source: Leaping Bunny)
Therefore it is up to brands and ingredient suppliers to ensure no new animal tests occur during any stage of product development and manufacturing.
Vote with your consumer dollars by choosing to only buy from cruelty-free brands in 2020! ✊🏻 Let’s continue to fight to see a global end to animal testing for cosmetics! ✨

Looking for a stylish vegan winter coat to keep you warm this season? ❄️ Here are some ethical vegan outerwear labels! 🌿 From vegan puffers, parkas, bombers, vests, coats, and jackets for men, women, and kids! πŸ§₯✨
What to look out for in an ethical + vegan winter coat:
❄️ Avoid coats filled with down and animal feathers -- instead, these vegan labels use recycled polyester that are made from used bottles and post-consumer recycled content. They're also warmer, lighter, and more breathable than goose-down!
❄️ Read the label to see if the fur-trim is animal-derived or not. -- Don't just assume it's faux fur, it only takes two seconds to check to be sure!
❄️ Ethically-made -- If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Support vegan labels that care about the people making their clothes just as much as they do about the animals! Are their workers treated fairly, under safe conditions, and paid a living wage?
❄️ Made to Last -- Avoid shopping for a cheap winter coat just to wear a handful of times and to be replaced next year. Choose quality outerwear made with durable materials that were made to last, and even better, check to see if it comes with a warranty! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Do you already have a vegan winter coat? Let us know if it's from one of these brands and/or where you got it from! πŸ’•

List of Cruelty-Free & Vegan Beauty Box Subscriptions + Coupon Codes (2019)

This post may contain affiliate links.

Vegan Beauty Box Subscriptions are a fun and easy way to discover new products without having to do any work. A vegan box is shipped directly to your doorstep periodically where you’ll receive a thoughtfully curated box full of cruelty-free and vegan goodies just waiting for you to try! It’s that easy.

All that’s left for you to do is finding the right box to subscribe to! When it comes to both vegan and cruelty-free beauty boxes, you want to make sure all the products contained are from beauty brands that don’t test on animals and the products do not contain any animal-derived ingredients or by-products.

Some boxes that claim to be a “cruelty-free beauty box” may include products that use animal-derived ingredients like carmine, lanolin, beeswax, and honey making them not vegan.

Vegan Beauty Box Subscriptions

The following vegan box subscriptions are all 100% vegan and I highly recommend subscribing to one if you’re new or just switching over to vegan beauty products because this makes the process so much easier and enjoyable!

Finding the right vegan beauty box to subscribe to depends on what you want out of it. They all range in price ($15-40) and contain a variety of different products. I recommend subscribing to just ONE of these vegan beauty boxes as there may be some cross-overs and you might end up getting duplicates.

What w0uld you recommend to someone who is deciding between Vegan Cuts and Petit Vour?? I am also very interested in the new Vegan Cuts Makeup box but I really want something monthly.

    • Vicky Ly
      October 25, 2016

ooOhh great question! This really comes down to personal preference. They’re quite similar but I find that Vegan Cuts definitely has more samples/products than Petit Vour and Vegan Cuts includes more mainstream CF/V brands whereas Petit Vour contains a bunch of products from indie or smaller natural/green brands.

I love receiving MORE products hehe so I personally enjoy Vegan Cuts more than Petit Vour, for that reason!

I suggest you checking out the hashtag #vegancutsbeautybox and #petitvour on Instagram or social media to see past boxes… this will help give you a better idea of what’s included inside their previous monthly boxes and hopefully will make your decision a bit easier! =)

Hey Vicky – I’m really big on all natural/organic/cruelty/free vegan products and I am able to incorporate all natural, organic and humanely sustained products in my food easily and same with bath and body products but it is harder to do with makeup,, I do it as much as I can but there’s not a lot of it readily available in makeup stores such as Sephora so I’m usually confined to just a couple makeup companies that are available online that I know are CF/V with their makeup as well as brushes because some companies may seem all natural/organic/CF/V but I do a lot of digging to ensure they are and a lot don’t make the cut, they just trick people because most probably wouldn’t check and with the couple I knew were legitimate I was confined to those brands so I’d never be able to try different companies and products all at once and for a great price as I could with a box that’s why then I saw this amazing post about beauty boxes – I always wanted to try one but the reason I did not is I did not want to be sent products that were not cruelty free or vegan as I didn’t want to support their business by even receiving samples. I’ve now gone and signed up for a Petit Vour box and it’s all thanks to you! I didn’t see a link as some reviewers have so you can receive your well deserved reward but I did mention this website when it asked how I heard about them!

eeep!! what a sweet message to read!! it makes me so happy to know that you found this article helpful! I was the exact same when I started to look into cf, vegan, natural, and organic products.

Sadly, most of the brands/products that mainstream stores like Sephora or the Drugstore carry are not that natural or even cruelty-free. =( If you have a Whole Foods or a natural health food store in your area.. definitely check our their beauty aisle! There might be some awesome goodies hiding in there!

But these monthly beauty boxes are definitely another great solution and Petit Vour is a fabulous option for both vegan and green beauty! I really do hope you enjoy the box as much as I did!! And thanks for mentioning ethical elephant with your purchase =) You are too kind, my dear!

The UK really needs to get with it. We have virtually no options with regards to cruelty free beauty boxes. LaRitzy looks like a lovely subscription box!

    • Vicky Ly
      March 10, 2016

It’s too bad you guys don’t have any CF beauty boxes! Maybe someone will see this as a business opportunity and take it upon themselves to start one in the UK because that seems like the consensus from what I’ve been hearing; People want them but there just isn’t one available!

  • Vivi M
    March 10, 2016

    Great post!
I’ve made the comparisons myself and ended up with LaRitzy and I have to say I am SUPER pleased. They were also the kindest on shipping expenses.
About The Vegan Kind, Kelly from TheVeganTaff actually just wrote the other week about how she’s kind of disappointed with them…haven’t tried it personally though.

    • Vicky Ly
      March 10, 2016

In comparison to the other boxes, LaRitzy kills it! Best prices, best value, best shipping outside the US, and I’ve also been pleased with all the products in each month’s box! I’m so happy you liked them too Vivi!! Hmm… I wonder if there are any local cruelty-free and vegan beauty boxes in your area? =)

Yah I noticed that Kelly wasn’t too impressed with TVK boxes. I used her reviews to calculate the average value of the box since I’ve never received one. It’s a shame they got poor reviews as they do offer an affordable option to people living in the UK!

      • Vivi M
        March 10, 2016

        Good question!
They do have a beauty box in Italy but definitely not a cruelty free one . I also saw a review that said it was pretty bad.
I found one in Sweden that looks organic and good but then LaRitzy starting sending to Europe and I think I’ll be staying with them for a while πŸ™‚

About TVK I agree. Plus because it’s a quarterly box I expected it to be super exciting but it seems otherwise. Again, haven’t tried it personally, just the impression I got from reading.
