OMG. They’re finally here!! NCLA just launched their first cruelty-free and vegan makeup product!! They released six shades of their vegan lipsticks and I got my hands on three colors: Silverlake Serenade, Calabasas Queen, and Beverly Hills Bad Girl.

I’ve been using NCLA vegan nail polish for a minute now (for all my Canadian babes, I get my NCLA fix at NailPolishCanada.com ??). So when I heard they were coming out with a collection of vegan makeup products, I nearly lost it!

“Say hello to our brand new, totally gorgeous, totally LA, semi-matte lip collection! 6 of the most popular wearable shades in the cutest NCLA pink packaging. You’re going to need them all.” – NCLA

It’s awesome to see a small LA-based indie brand like NCLA branch out and expand their product line, while staying true to their values of always being cruelty-free and 100% vegan.

NCLA Lipsticks – 100% Vegan

All of NCLA lipsticks are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal-derived ingredients like beeswax or carmine.

Claims: Hyper-pigmented. Paraben free. Phthalate free. Made in the USA. Long-lasting lipstick. Formulated with Castor Oil, Antioxidants, Vitamin C & E.

Currently there are six shades: Silverlake Serenade, Downtown’s Sweetheart, Calabasas Queen, Hollywood Heartbreaker, Beverly Hills Bad Girl, Malibu Moments.

Finish: All of NCLA lipsticks have a semi-matte cream finish.

Beverly Hills Bad Girl NCLA Lipstick ($16)Vibrant pink. Super smooth formula, creamy and feels very velvety. This is a pigmented bright pink.

Silverlake Serenade NCLA Lipstick ($16)Aubergine. This is hands down my favorite lipstick color! High-pigment. Smooth formula. Long-lasting. Comfortable to wear.

Calabasas Queen NCLA Lipstick ($16)Iconic red. Similiar formula as Silverlake Serenade. High-pigment. A very wearable red lipstick. Smooth formula.

Ingredients: Octyldodecanol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Isononyl Isononanoate, Silica, Tricaprylyl Citrate, Ozokerite, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Paraffin, Phenyl Trimethicone, Microcrystalline Wax (Cera Microcristallina), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Stearyl Stearoyl Stearate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Vanillin, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 28 (CI 45410).

Packaging: NCLA always kills it with their cute packaging. NCLA’s lipsticks are packaged in these super chic and adorable pastel pink plastic tubes with clear arcrylic caps. The small boxes the lipsticks comes in has these cute tropical LA-vibes design printed on them. Did I mention how freakin cute they are!?

Overall thoughts: These are great performing lipsticks. They were all very comortable to wear with a smooth and even application. They do transfer a little but I had on Silverlake Serenade for several hours and it still looked good on my lips. They were also easy to remove with minimal staining.

I would definitely recommend trying out NCLA’s vegan lipsticks yourself! You can buy them on NCLA’s website or on Amazon.
