Anyone who knows me well knows the way to win over my heart is a basket of snacks!! And the peeps over at Vegan Cuts hooked me up with my first Vegan Snack Box! I love the idea of a vegan snack box because if you haven’t noticed, there seems to be a vegan option for everything nowadays and if you’re in Canada like me.. it’s almost impossible to find these vegan goodies in our regular grocery stores!

Even if our local stores carry them, I almost never notice them because I just assume they’re never vegan-friendly!

Vegan Cut’s Snack Box solves all those woes as they deliver 10 or more vegan products for you to try every month! The monthly subscription is only $22.95/month for US residents; CA$31.95/month to Canadian residents; $37.95/month for International subscribers!

I’m excited to get into and share with you all the goodness that was included in this month’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box! Legooo!

Vegan Cuts Snack Box

Instead of reviewing all 13 snacks individually, I thought I’d share with you all my overall opinion of what I liked and didn’t like about some of the snacks included in this month’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box!

Most excited to try – Pipcorn Cheddar Mini Popcorn (#5)! I saw these guys on Shark Tank and been dying to try their small kernel popcorn! and the Hazelnut Spread by Nutiva (#10), I heard this was a great vegan alternative to Nutella!

Least excited to try – The Jambalaya mix (#13) was pretty random. When I think of “snacks”, I usually think of something that is ready-to-eat so the idea of making this didn’t excite me.

I would buy on my own – Popchips (#3) and the Strawberry Shortcake Oatmeal (#2)! The Popchips aren’t fried, which makes them a guilt-free snack option! They “take potatoes, add heat and pressure, then pop!” and the strawberry shortcake oatmeal tasted like actual shortcake!! Yummers!!

I wouldn’t buy on my own – The mocha shake by Zumba (#12). This is a just a personal preference but I generally don’t like “protein” or “health” shakes because they all have that gritty texture that I can’t stand!

The most interesting – Organic dried mangos by Sol Simple (#1)! Ok, the idea of dried fruit in a vegan snack box doesn’t sound interesting at first until I read the ethics behind this company! These dried mangos are solar dried!!! Sol Simple uses “solar drying system that harnesses the sun’s power to dehydrate [their] fruit and reduce fossil fuel consumption.” Now, that’s pretty damn interesting!

I thought I wouldn’t like but ended up liking – The peanut butter + ginger chews (#6)!! I love ginger candy but when I read the package and saw this one contains peanut butter, I was totally skeptical but this is now my favorite candy!! I would have never thought of putting peanut butter and ginger together!

I thought I would like but didn’t ended up liking – I was totally intrigued by a coffee bar that claims there’s a cup of coffee in every bar! However I think I’m going to stick with drinking instead of eating my coffee. This totally upset my stomach =(

Final Words

I’m totally blown away by the quality and and selection in this month’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box! It was a great variety of treats from popcorn, candy, spreads, tea, shakes, and chips! It was everything I would expect a vegan snack box to include and more! and what I mean by more is how I didn’t expect all the vegan products included to also be super healthy! When I think of snacks, I think of highly processed food products containing a bunch of indulgent ingredients but I consider most of the products inside the Vegan Cuts Snack Box to be guilt-free (for my lifestyle anyways!).

And upon reading the packaging of some of the products, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that most of these companies have a strong sustainability or social initiative. For example, for every box of Eat Your Coffee Bars keeps one child in school in Coyol, Nicaragua for an entire week! ?

If you want to try the Vegan Cuts Snack Box yourself, you can sign up and see all the details here!

I’d love to know, have you tried Vegan Cuts Snack Box before? or any of the vegan products that was included in this month’s snack box?
