A couple of vegan and clean skincare goodies I got from my first order from @thedetoxmarketcanada! 🌿✨ My skin has changed so much in just the past year alone. I went from very oily skin to acne-prone to eczema flare-ups and now surface dryness πŸ˜” So lately, I've been looking into the ingredients of all my skincare products and consciously trying to make an effort to buy clean, non-toxic, and organic products. This is my second bottle of @oseamalibu's Blemish Balm, it's an amazing lightweight moisturizer that has really helped clear up my skin without drying it out or trigger my eczema. 🌸 I also wanted to try their Atmosphere Protection Cream which claims to hydrate and help provide barrier protection against visible damage caused by environmental stressors such as dry climates, wind and air pollution. 🌍 I’d love to know, what are some non-toxic & vegan skincare products/brands are you currently loving or would recommend?? πŸ’•

My lips are instantly and intensely hydrated thanks to @nclabeauty’s [NEW] 100% Natural & Vegan Lip Balm! πŸ’‹ They have 8 flavors to choose from including Red Velvet, Almond Cookies, Marshmallow, and Watermelon!! πŸ‰ πŸ‰ πŸ‰ This watermelon Balm Babe smells and tastes like watermelon candy! Formulated with shea butter, cocoa butter, avocado butter, and coconut oil.
.
I love how light and moisturized this lip balm feels and I especially love how it doesn't leave that waxy feeling behind πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
.
Most lip balms on the market contain beeswax, lanolin, or honey, making them NOT vegan. And then there are some other brands that are NOT cruelty-free including Nivea, Chapstick, EOS*, Blistex, Aquaphor, and Vaseline.
.
*Note: EOS is sold in-stores in China but they claim that since they manufacture their products in China, they do not need to test on animals as required by law. However, EOS' products are still at risk of POST-market animal testing where Chinese officials will pull products off from store shelves and test them on animals, this is often done without the company's knowledge or consent. So at this time, we do not feel comfortable classifying any beauty brand selling their products in-stores in China to be "cruelty-free" to our standards.

Spring Paradise with Vegan Cuts Makeup Box

This post may contain affiliate links.

I’ve been obsessed with Vegan Cuts’ monthly beauty box for some time now so I was thrilled to hear they were making a quarterly vegan makeup box!

What’s the difference between Vegan Cuts’ beauty vs. makeup box?

The obvious difference is that the makeup box exclusively contains makeup products ~all of which are not tested on animals and 100% vegan. The beauty box ships every month whereas the makeup box ships seasonally, so only 3-4 times a year. But the best part of the makeup box is that it contains all full-sized products! No sample sizes, just the real deal.

You can get your very own Vegan Cuts makeup box for only $39.95! The box I received for the Spring season had a total value of $104 worth of goodies! This goes to show that you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.

Now let’s dig in and see what was included in this season’s Vegan Cuts’ makeup box!

Vegan Cuts Makeup Box – Spring Paradise

Full Volume Mascara in Black – Beauty Without Cruelty ($26)

I’ve heard lots of great things about this mascara so I was excited when I saw this in the Vegan Cuts makeup box!! The mascara wand and bristles are large and in charge! I thought I’d have a hard time applying this since I have super short and sparse lashes but the formula clung to my lashes beautifully, leaving them looking fuller!

Eyeshadow in Romance – HAN Skin Care Cosmetics ($13)

I’ve never heard of this brand before receiving their eyeshadow in my Vegan Cuts makeup box, which is why I love getting these boxes; I get to try products from new cruelty-free brands!

I’m a rose-gold obsessed so the shade Romance is perfect for me! I had a look at their ingredients for this eyeshadow and I was delighted to read that it was talc-free! Not to mention, all of HAN eyeshadows contain antioxidant ingredients such was super-fruits, vitamins, and plant pigments that benefit the skin! Hold on while I apply this eyeshadow onto my entire face! =)

My Lash Secret Eyelash Curler – Jersey Shore Cosmetics ($25)

YAAAAS. I’ve been meaning to get a new eyelash curler since my other one kept ripping my eyelashes off! (Yep, I kid you not.) So my lashes have been looking a little sad lately without a curler. Thank you Vegan Cuts for being my savior! I love how this eyelash curler from Jersey Shore Cosmetics is black and feels sturdy! Bonus points for it not tearing the 3 remaining lashes I have left!

Moisturizing Lip Gloss – Elate Cosmetics ($19)

I’ve heard of Elate Cosmetics before because they’re a local brand (Victoria, BC! ? )  but I have yet to try any of their products! Thumbs up to Vegan Cuts for including a Canadian brand in the mix! ? I got their lip gloss in the color Radiate; a sheer, shimmery nude pink.

Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter Duo – Manna Kadar ($25)

I already have this split pan bronzer & highlighter from another subscription box but I absolutely love it! So I ain’t complaining about having another one on deck! The shades are incredibly pigmented and blends beautifully for a sun-kissed glow.

My Thoughts on Vegan Cuts Makeup Box

I loved the variety of products in this box!! The colors and shades they picked for me was spot on, I was very impressed. This is probably thanks to the beauty profile I filled out before submitting my order! Such a nice touch ? and I seriously can’t get over the total value of this box ($104).

If you’ve been thinking about trying out some vegan makeup products but don’t want to commit to a monthly box, I highly recommend subscribing to Vegan Cuts quarterly makeup box! As you can tell from this review, you will not be disappointed.

    Hi!
Do you know if the vegan cuts products contain any metals?
