Scentuals Natural Products Review + Giveaway!

A while back I wrote about Scentuals’ animal testing policy and confirmed that they are indeed cruelty-free! I was delighted to have the opportunity to try some of their vegan products because they are actually a local company and all of their products are handmade in small batches in Coquitlam, BC!

Scentuals was also kind enough to offer a giveaway of the same products I got to review to an ethical elephant reader! To enter, all you have to do is visit Scentuals’ Facebook page and leave your e-mail address in the widget at the bottom of this post! {GIVEAWAY CLOSED}

Scentuals Natural Products

Scentuals makes all-natural and organic bodycare and haircare products packed with the finest quality ingredients and pure essential oils. They put their heart and soul into researching, sourcing, and developing each ingredient and final product; delivering us only the best of the best but at an affordable price!

Review: Shampoo & Conditioner – Rosemary Mint

Both the shampoo and conditioner smells absolutely delectable! I love the smell of rosemary and it’s been known to help stimulate hair growth and strengthen hair while treating dry scalp and dandruff.

The first thing I noticed upon reading the ingredient list was that the first ingredient was organic aloe juice and not water! Most hair products including some allegedly ‘natural’ ones are mostly made up of water and other fillers. For $15 a pop, you are definitely getting your money’s worth with these truly natural and quality haircare products!

Scentuals natural moisturizing shampoo + conditioner review

Shampoo

Scentuals’ Moisturizing Shampoo is sulphate free and a little goes a long way! You can build up the lather but I’ve gotten the hang of using all-natural shampoo and find that I’m just wasting product when trying to work up a sudsy lather. So if you do enjoy a good lather, prepare to use up more product.

Conditioner

Similar to the shampoo, you only need a little of the product to work it into your ends. After using Scentuals’ Moisturizing Conditioner, I’ve noticed my hair to be less frizzy and my color treated ombre ends was looking a lot more healthy after a week. This has moved up to be one of my favourite conditioners! It leaves my hair feeling softer and smoother. And I can’t get over how great my hair smells after using the shampoo + conditioner duo!!

Review: Anti-Aging Facial Toning Mist

Scentuals’ Anti-Aging Toning Mist is loaded with 100% natural and pure floral waters including witch hazel, rose geranium, ylang ylang, and sandalwood, making it a perfect complement to your regular skin routine.

After cleansing, I would spray the toning mist all over my face. It has an earthy smell but doesn’t linger. My face feels cleanse, fresh, and moisturized after! This is something I see myself using quite often in the colder seasons.

Review: De-Stress – Aromatherapy Roll-On

Perhaps one of the most important but underrated component of any beauty care routine is stress management! I’m a believer that what goes on inside affects how you look on the outside. And stress is known to cause skin flare-ups because when we feel tense, our brain releases cortisol (a stress hormone). As a result, this can cause havoc to our skin including increase in oil production leading to breakouts, as well as, loss of immune function in our skin and increasing the appearance of wrinkles.

Scentuals aromatherapy roll-on de-stress review

But the peeps at Scentuals has got our backs and they’ve carefully crafted an aromatherapy roll-on de-stresser to help calm our nerves and reduce tension. Using a mixture of therapeutic grade essential oils like bergamot, lavender, chamomile, palmarosa with the aim to calm the mind and helping you relax. They’ve even packaged it to be travel-friendly so you can use it on the go or whenever you need it most!

I’ve tried a couple of aromatherapy roll-ons before but found that the scent was too strong and lingered more than I could appreciate and as I was about to give up on the roll-on game, Scentuals’ aromatherapy roll-on de-stress changed things up for me. The smell is definitely not too overpowering but I can smell it as soon as I applied it. As a result, I felt more relaxed and the sweet scent was incredibly calming for me! Because of this, I am really excited to try their other aromatherapy roll-ons for headaches, muscle pain, and sleep!

  1. I would love to try your products. I am always worried about the chemicals that put in products. Yours sound great.

  2. Brenda Presthofer

I enjoy shopping local and always look for healthy & organic
bodycare products to try. I’m happy to hear Scentuals is from
Coquitlam B.C.! Would love to try your cruelty-free, natural
products, the scents sound amazing! 🙂

  3. I have purchased the muscle pain roll on and I gotta say that I like it. I don’t like to use advil or tylenol because of the damage they can cause to the body. Its nice to use something that is chemical free. I am not really fond of the clove scent but this oil smells really nice and doesn’t overwhelm me. I look forward to trying the shampoo and conditioner to see if my hair will possibly grow a bit faster and thicken up a bit as it is very thin.
