Pretty Vulgar is a vintage-inspired makeup and beauty brand but is Pretty Vulgar cruelty-free and vegan in 2021? We’ve got the answers here!
Is Pretty Vulgar Cruelty-Free?
Pretty Vulgar is Cruelty-free! None of Pretty Vulgar’s ingredients, formulations, or finished products are tested on animals, anywhere in the world.
Pretty Vulgar Animal Testing Policy
Pretty Vulgar has confirmed they do not test their products or ingredients on animals or ask others to test on their behalf. Their suppliers also do not test on animals nor do they allow their products to be tested on animals when required by law. And finally, their products are not sold in stores in mainland China or any other country that may require animal testing.
Below is a screenshot of Pretty Vulgar’s official animal testing statement:
In addition, I emailed Pretty Vulgar to ask for more information about their animal testing policy. The following is a snippet of their response:
“Pretty Vulgar is 100% Cruelty Free, we do not and will not conduct animal testing on any ingredient or formulation. And we will not purchase any ingredient or formulation from a 3rd party manufacturer or supplier that does so either.”
Is Pretty Vulgar Sold in China?
All imported cosmetics sold in mainland China are required by law to be tested on animals. However, Pretty Vulgar has confirmed they do not sell their products in retail stores in mainland China and therefore they are not required to test on animals.
Here’s their response when I asked if they sell in China:
“We are currently only sold in the US and Canada! So no.”
Pretty Vulgar has met all of our criteria in our Cruelty-Free Checklist and is included on our List of Cruelty-Free Brands.
You can find Pretty Vulgar cruelty-free products at Sephora and on Amazon.
