I am cleansing oil fanatic, so when the ladies at NIU BODY asked if I wanted to try one of their Vegan Coconut Oil-based Makeup Removers, I was totally on board!

What makes NIU BODY’s makeup remover different is their unique blend of natural, high-quality, and effective ingredients in each bottle to cater to different skin types.

About NIU BODY

NIU BODY was created by two Canadian female entrepreneurs who were on the hunt for a natural but effective cleansing solution. That’s when they discovered the wonders of coconut oil and soon after, created their line of coconut oil-based skincare products!

NIU BODY has now expanded their product line to include a variety of other skincare products while sticking to their core values of being a 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and natural company.

My Review

They weren’t kidding when they said this was a gentle but effective makeup remover!

It easily removed all my makeup from my eyeliner, full-coverage foundation, shimmer eye shadow, and that pesky eyelash glue. There is a very slight scent of tea tree oil, but the smell doesn’t linger.

I was super impressed that it did a fab job of removing my waterproof mascara too without excessive tugging or rubbing!

The directions says to rinse skin after using the makeup remover and although it doesn’t leave an oily or greasy residue, I like to follow-up with using a damp face towel just to make sure I have a nice clean base before I apply my serum and moisturizer.

My skin feels soft, cleansed, and refreshing after I use NIU BODY’s makeup remover.

Cons:

The only con was the amount of cotton pads I was going through when using this product. It takes me 3-4 cotton pads to remove an entire face of makeup, this is quite excessive when compared to using a regular cleansing oil with a face towel.

But other than that, I would definitely recommend NIU BODY’s Coconut Oil Makeup Remover as an effective, all-natural, and vegan alternative! =)

Have you tried using coconut oil as a makeup remover before?
