Madam Glam (Floris) Vegan Gel Nail Polish Review

This post may contain affiliate links that at no additional cost to you, I may earn a small commission.

I’ve been doing Vegan Mani Mondays for the past year now and I have yet to share or review a vegan gel polish but that’s about to change for this week’s mani monday!

I used to love gel nail polish because of how long they last but I stopped wearing them because 1) most gel polish brands are not cruelty-free (like Sally Hansen and OPI) and 2) they take such a long time to remove although they last 2-3 times longer than traditional nail polish. #LazyGirlProblems, am I right?

I got my hands on some cruelty-free and vegan soak-off gel polishes from Madam Glam.

All of Madam Glam nail polishes are Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free and 100% vegan, Madam Glam does not test any of their products or ingredients on animals and all their polishes are free from animal-derived ingredients and by-products. In addition, Madam Glam recently reformulated their polishes and now they claim to be 9-free, meaning their polishes are free from 9 toxic chemicals.

Madam Glam – Floris

For the past week, I tried Floris by Madam Glam. I absolutely love the color and application but because I didn’t have a gel base and top coat to use and my nails weren’t properly prepped (something I figured out after it started lifting/peeling), I’ll have to try Floris again in order to give my comprehensive review of it but I thought it was worth sharing my first impression with you all. I’ll be sure to update this post.

Color: Floris is described as a raspberry pink with a cream finish.

Price: $19.95 (or $9.98 for VIP members) on madamglam.com

Formula: Opaque after 2 coats. Good gel formula and consistency. Easy to apply. Non-streaky.

Wear Test: Because I didn’t properly prep my nails and I didn’t use a gel base or top coat, it started to peel and lift after 6 days. I will try it again and update this post.

Comments: Floris is a beautiful bright fuschia pink color. I used an LED lamp so it only took 30 seconds to cure in between coats. Although I’m a total rookie and I didn’t apply the gel polish according to the instructions, I do like the gel formula and it surprisingly lasted a week without any chipping. If I had used a gel top coat and properly prepped my nails, I’m sure Madam Glam’s gel nail polish would have lasted 7+ days without chipping!

All Madam Glam polishes are cruelty-free, vegan, and 9-free.

Ingredients: Acrylates Copolymer, Ethyl Methacrylate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Trimethylolpropane Triacrylate, Rthyl Acetate, Dimethicone, Microcrystalline Wax, Mica, CI 77981, CI 77266, CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77019

Where to buy? Available on madamglam.com, some of Madam Glam vegan gel polish are also available on Amazon.

PR or Purchased? In full disclosure, Madam Glam sent me their nail polish to try. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are always 100% my own.

  1. Worst customer service ever. They tell blatant lies about their products/ingredients, ignore customers for weeks, are patronising, they also sent me the wrong product and another product leaked everywhere in the box. I spent so much money on their products and 100% regret it. It’s been the biggest hassle and I’ve lost sleep over it. I’ll be choosing Dimensions nails or the Gelbottle next time instead.

  2. Jennifer Richardson

They gave me a bogus “gift card” to use as an in store credit when returned a broken steamer from them. They said it never made it back to them (yeah right). I’ve been dealing with them for days trying to use this credit and it’s still not resolved. Just go to Trustpilot and you will see this company is not to be trusted.

Keep in mind I returned the broken steamer months ago. Sick of this company. Definitely not worth the hassle. There are many more honest, clean gel polish companies you can choose that have honest customer service and don’t try to rip off their customers.

Use any other ethical, vegan company over Madam Glam. Scam artists. Try Luxa Polish. Excellent customer service, reputable company.

    1. Madam Glam confirmed to me that they don’t sell their products in stores in mainland China, therefore their products do NOT require animal testing per China’s animal testing laws. This is something I make sure to confirm with every brand before I list, mention, or promote them on my blog.

Do you have new information to suggest that Madam Glam may be selling their products in China? If so, I would love to know and I’ll be sure to look into it! =)
