Ethical Analysis

Is Lovinah cruelty-free, vegan, or sustainable? We’ve got the answers here! Read below for more details on Lovinah’s policies.
Lovinah is cruelty-free. None of Lovinahs ingredients, formulations, or finished products are tested on animals, anywhere in the world.
Not all of Lovinah’s products are vegan but they have some vegan options.
Lovinah claims their products are created with ‘ethically-sourced’ and fair trade, certified organic ingredients.

Lovinah supports initiatives to empower women, as well as, providing education to children in West Africa and the USA.
Lovinah has been non-responsive when I asked if their mica is ethically-sourced without the use of child labor.
Lovinah products come in plastic packaging. They also claim “eco friendly packaging” on their website’s bio but it’s not clear from their product descriptions what “eco-friendly” entails. And I couldn’t find anything stating they’re working on reducing their use of virgin plastic in their product packaging.
