Lise Watier does not test on animals and is a cruelty-free brand. Lise Watier does not conduct or commission animal testing on their products and ingredients. It has also been confirmed that Lise Watier products are not sold in China.
However it is not clear which of Lise Watier products are vegan-friendly and do not contain any animal ingredients or derivatives. As always, I recommend checking their ingredient list.
Lise Watier’s Animal Testing Policy
Below you will find Lise Watier’s animal testing statement taken directly from their website’s FAQ:
Lise Watier is Cruelty-free!
I also emailed Lise Watier asking for specifics about their animal testing policy and to ensure the statement found on their website was accurate and up-to-date. Below you will find their response:
“Our products are not tested on animals in compliance with 1223/2009 EU (Europe Union) regulation.
We do not test our ingredients on animals. For your information, this is not allowed anymore in EU since 2013 March 13th.
We do not hire a third party to test our ingredients or products on animals. We use external party for some tests on our product but they have to be in compliance with EU regulation. Those tests are done on volunteers or in-vitro cells.
Do any of your raw material suppliers test on animals? No they do not because they have to be in compliance with EU regulation. Furthermore, during our development process, they have to provide us with an attestation that prove that their ingredients are not tested on animals.
Our products are not sold in China.“
