Is Jolie Beauty Cruelty-Free and Vegan?

Make a positive impact by supporting companies with the same values and ethics as what matters most to you. To navigate and find ethical brands, here's a summary of Jolie Beauty's ethics and initiatives.

Ethical Analysis

Is Jolie Beauty cruelty-free, vegan, or sustainable? We’ve got the answers here! Read below for more details on Jolie Beauty’s policies.
Jolie Beauty is cruelty-free. None of Jolie Beauty’s ingredients, formulations, or finished products are tested on animals, anywhere in the world.
Not all of Jolie Beauty’s products are vegan but they have some vegan options.
Jolie Beauty does not claim or market itself as a sustainable company. They have a collection of biodegradable glitter but not all of their glitters are biodegradable.
Jolie Beauty claims their mica is ethically-sourced without the use of child labor. They also use synthetic mica that’s made in a lab and therefore no child labor is involved.
Jolie Beauty products come in plastic packaging. I couldn’t find anything stating they’re working on reducing their use of virgin plastic in their product packaging.

Ethical Mica Sourcing Policy

I asked Jolie Beauty if their mica is ethically sourced without forced or child labor and they responded stating,

“We can confirm all our natural mica is sourced from ethical sources, we use the RMI as our guide. Our manufacturer has to routinely declare the sources to us.

We also use a synthetically created mica in many of our products, where we can.”
