Animal testing for cosmetics is STILL happening as we go into 2020! πŸ’‰πŸ Neither the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) nor the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission *require* animal testing for cosmetics or household products. There are sufficient existing safety data as well as in vitro alternatives to make animal testing for these products obsolete. (Source: Leaping Bunny)
Therefore it is up to brands and ingredient suppliers to ensure no new animal tests occur during any stage of product development and manufacturing.
Vote with your consumer dollars by choosing to only buy from cruelty-free brands in 2020! ✊🏻 Let’s continue to fight to see a global end to animal testing for cosmetics! ✨

Looking for a stylish vegan winter coat to keep you warm this season? ❄️ Here are some ethical vegan outerwear labels! 🌿 From vegan puffers, parkas, bombers, vests, coats, and jackets for men, women, and kids! πŸ§₯✨
What to look out for in an ethical + vegan winter coat:
❄️ Avoid coats filled with down and animal feathers -- instead, these vegan labels use recycled polyester that are made from used bottles and post-consumer recycled content. They're also warmer, lighter, and more breathable than goose-down!
❄️ Read the label to see if the fur-trim is animal-derived or not. -- Don't just assume it's faux fur, it only takes two seconds to check to be sure!
❄️ Ethically-made -- If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Support vegan labels that care about the people making their clothes just as much as they do about the animals! Are their workers treated fairly, under safe conditions, and paid a living wage?
❄️ Made to Last -- Avoid shopping for a cheap winter coat just to wear a handful of times and to be replaced next year. Choose quality outerwear made with durable materials that were made to last, and even better, check to see if it comes with a warranty! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Do you already have a vegan winter coat? Let us know if it's from one of these brands and/or where you got it from! πŸ’•

Cruelty-Free & Vegan Teeth Whitening Options!

I used to use Crest White Strips to whiten my teeth but when I learned that Crest is not cruelty-free as they test their products/ingredients on animals, I’ve been on the hunt for a cruelty-free and vegan teeth whitening alternative for some time now. I know someone who got their teeth cleaned and this family denist in Brunswick really helped them out. Her teeth look amazing and it’s really inspired me to get my teeth looking good too.

There seems to be a lot of hype surrounding the recent at-home teeth whitening craze that every online influencer seems to be promoting but when I looked into most of these teeth whitening brands, they weren’t very transparent about their animal testing policy making me very wary of buying from them. My friend recently went to her dentist, Thomas E. Cooke, D.D.S. and spoke to him about the ill-treatment of animals. He told me that the prodecures they carry out are vegan as far as he knows.

But fear not, I’ve found 5 totally cruelty-free and vegan teeth whitening options currently available on the market that are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal-derived ingredients! I always consult with my dentist to check the products I’m using are good for my teeth. If you are looking for a dentist then why don’t you check out someone like Dentist Fort Wayne for help and advice.

Cruelty-Free & Vegan Teeth Whitening

Dr. Brite Vegan Teeth Whitening Pens

I love the convenience and how easy it is to use these whitening pens! It literally take seconds to apply and it dries fairly quickly so you can use it on the go! I highly recommend Dr. Brite’s cruelty-free and vegan whitening pens, especially the peroxide-free version for those of us who have sensitive teeth! “Clinical studies show the teeth whitening pen removes years of stains and can whiten teeth up to 2 shades in as little as 2 days.”

The Dr. Brite teeth whitening pens are a nontoxic, vegan, fluoride-free, gluten-free, SLS-free and carrageenan-free formula made with no parabens, no phthalates, no GMOs, no triclosan and no artificial flavors, sweeteners or colors.

SnapWhite Vegan Home Teeth Whitening Kit

SnapWhite’s at-home teeth whitening kit is the perfect cruelty-free and vegan alternative to the whole online teeth whitening craze! SnapWhite guarantees to give you a whiter smile or your money back! Not to mention, these at-home kits are a fraction of what a dentist would charge for a teeth whitening treatment! Cruelty-free and vegan influencers, Tashina Combs from Logical Harmony and Rhian from Wifelife swears by SnapWhite to help brighten up their smiles!

I would not personally recommend SnapWhite for those with very sensitive teeth (like me!)

The kit includes teeth whitening gel for 10-14 treatments, a remineralizing gel (only for US orders), LED light, and home teeth whitening trays.

Keeko Oil Pulling Flavours

If you don’t know what oil pulling is (it’s not as scary as it sounds!), it’s basically swishing a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth and this helps to draw out or wash impurities and bacteria from the mouth. Some people also swear by oil pulling to whiten their teeth although I haven’t personally seen a noticeable difference, but I think maybe with prolong use and a consistent oil pulling routine, it may make a difference down the road!

But if you want to give it a try yourself, simply use any standard coconut oil that you can get your hands on or try Keeko’s Oil Pulling Packets that comes in 3 different flavors: Morning Mint (Spearmint & Peppermint), Citrus Burst (Lemon Lime & Pink Grapefruit) and Sweet Sensation (Vanilla Coco with a hint of Cinnamon).

Well Scent Natural Teeth Whitening

Sparkle is a natural alternative to toxic mainstream teeth whitening treatments. “Rather than adding to the body’s toxic burden while whitening your smile, Sparkle utilizes earth’s gifts to detox the mouth, eliminate plaque and naturally brighten and strengthen dental enamel.”

Ingredients: Activated coconut charcoal, Sodium Bicarbonate, sea salt, Commiphora Myrrha Oil, Plantago Lanceolata (plantain), Ceanothus americanus extract (Red Root), Azadirachta indica (Neem), Echinacea Angustifolia Leaf Extract.

If anybody is an oral patient who wear braces , oil pulling is equally suitable for them or not. Or is there any side effect of using such teeth whitening tips or its ok to use it ?

I just began using a Dr. Brite teeth-whitening pen. I’ve used it two to three times daily (per instructions) for three days now, and I can see a slight effect. My teeth were only slightly “dingy” before, though.
The pen is relatively inexpensive (< $30), and quite easy to use.
    I'd buy it again.

A pen surely sounds a lot easier to use than the trays and strips you normally get from the store. I must have bought them at least 5 times now but I can never stick with them through the entire treatment… they’re just so awkward and uncomfortable to wear.

I’ve been using the Dr. Brite pens for over a year now, and I’m a believer.
My teeth aren’t going to make anyone snow-blind, but that’s not the look I was going for, anyhow. My teeth do look whiter and brighter, though.
My only complaint is the fact that each pen costs $15.00 – $20.00 USD, but that’s not prohibitive.
        I found a lower-priced similar-looking product from a company called CaliWhite, but I’m having trouble verifying that they’re cruelty-free.
