Shopping at Ulta but wondering which brands are cruelty-free or not?

I went through Ulta’s entire brand directory of over 500+ brands and did the research to find out which brands are cruelty-free or not and compiled this ultimate list of cruelty-free brands at Ulta!

So that you can easily shop and support brands that do not conduct, condone, or commission animal tests on any of their products or ingredients. I have classified brands as being Cruelty-Free as they have confirmed all of the following:

  • The brand does not test their products on animals
  • The brand does not test their ingredients or formulations on animals
  • The brand does not commission or allow others to test on animals on their behalf
  • The brand’s raw materials suppliers also do not test on animals and they have verified this
  • The brand does not sell its products in stores in mainland China or any other country that may require animal testing by law
  • The brand does not allow their products to be tested on animals when required by law

Note: Some of the brands listed may or may not be entirely vegan. I’ve noted which brands are 100% Vegan and don’t use any animal-derived ingredients or by-products in any of their product lines.

  1. I’d love to help keep this list updated! As I shop at Ulta ALL THE TIME lol and conform to a CF and not sold in China policy. You have my email 🙂

  2. When was this list last updated? I know some of these brands are no longer sold at Ulta, some brands no longer sell in China as well as some brands entering the Chinese market. Do you take into account when a product is made in China because if the product is made in China it does not have to be tested under their laws, only foreign made products.
