Bite Beauty is a Canadian-based makeup brand, most known for their use of food grade ingredients in creating high-quality, clean, and natural lip products.

For the past several years, Bite Beauty has been known to be a cruelty-free brand as they don’t test their products or ingredients on animals, anywhere in the world but none of their lip products were considered to be vegan because they mostly contain beeswax, lanolin, or carmine. However, this all changed this year! Bite Beauty has been releasing new products that are animal-free and vegan-friendly!

Is Bite Beauty Cruelty-Free?

Yes, Bite Beauty is cruelty-free in 2019, however, Bite Beauty is owned by Kendo, a parent company that is not cruelty-free. Bite Beauty is also certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny.

Is Bite Beauty Vegan?

Not all of Bite Beauty makeup is vegan, as they do use beeswax, carmine, lanolin, silk and pearl powder, shellac, and other animal-derived ingredients or by-products, however, Bite Beauty does offer some vegan makeup options in 2019.

Please reference below for a list of Bite Beauty vegan products.

Where to Buy Bite Beauty?

Bite Beauty is available online, in-stores and online at Sephora, and Adore Beauty.

“Make ethical choices in what we buy, do, and watch. In a consumer-driven society our individual choices, used collectively for the good of animals and nature, can change the world faster than laws.”― Marc Bekoff
