Alba Botanica, JASON, and Avalon Organics is owned by Hain Celestial, the same peeps who bring us Yves veggie meats, Terra Chips, and Dream dairy-free milks. I had absolutely no idea they were all owned by the same company until I emailed each brand individually and noticed I was getting similar responses.

I’m happy to confirm that Alba Botanica, JASON, and Avalon Organics are all 100% vegetarian. They’ve provided a list of their products that contain beeswax and honey and should be avoided for those of us who are vegan. Each brand also included the following statement about their use of beeswax and honey:

The sourcing of these ingredients is done in a harm-free, stress-free, cruelty-free manner that does not impact the health or welfare of the animals. Check the specific product label for the following ingredients to determine if they are appropriate for your lifestyle

Below you will find a list of their products that should be avoided because they are not vegan-friendly:

    Hi Vicky,

How do you know that what these food companies are labeling on their personal care products are truthful without testing their products in an independent lab ?

    Thank you,
    Antony
