All my Vegan and Cruelty-Free Beauty Faves of the month!

This month felt like it was super long for me, maybe it’s the extra leap day? It’s been a crazy month while I juggle a bunch of projects at one time so my beauty routine has gotten a little low maintenance. This month, I’m all about taking care of my skin, hair, and nails in due time for the upcoming season change!

1. Cuticle Oil from Studio Aroma

I got this in one of my LaRitzy vegan beauty box and I’ve been slacking on caring for my cuticles because I haven’t really found anything that blew me away until I tried this Cuticle Oil Pen from Studio Aroma. The applicator pen makes it so much easier and hassle-free to apply this on the regular and the formula is also on point! There is a slight lemon scent and my nails are so much longer (without breaking!) from using this daily.

2. Andalou Naturals Cleansing Gel

I got this cleansing gel in my Andalou Naturals’ Get Started Clarifying Kit and I really did love all of the products in the kit (except for the exfoliating peel) but the cleansing gel is something where as soon as I tried it, I was instantly hooked and was willing to buy the regular size! It’s a gentle gel cleanser but works wonders for oily skin especially at the end of the day where my skin feels like a greasy wok. It feels like a deep cleanser but isn’t too harsh where you have to overcompensate with a moisturizer.

This vegan gel cleanser is my favourite!

3. Zoya – Blu

Cruelty-free and vegan youtuber/blogger, Eli took a picture of her nails painted with Blu from Zoya and it was such a beautiful pale blue color that was perfect for the upcoming season change and I knew I had to get it! I took a picture of me sporting the color while holding my new ‘some bunny loves me’ mug!

4. Mineral Glow (Bronzer) by PÃœR

So it’s been awhile since my skin has gotten some color and we only get short breaks of sunshine here in Vancouver during this time of year so I’ve been finding ways to get the bronzed and golden look on my own. This is where PÃœR’s mineral glow bronzer comes into play for a very natural ‘radiant and sun-kissed’ look without have to wait around till Mr. Sun makes a regular appearance. There is a bit of shimmer shown in the compact but it’s not as noticeable when applied which makes it look like a natural glow.

5. Lani’s Tropical Hair Treatment

I don’t say this often but this is one product that I cannot see myself without now! I kid you not. My hair is long and dull where it’s beginning to be a pain in the arse to take care of and I always just want to throw it up in a bun so I don’t have to deal with it. But I’ve been using Lani’s tropical hair treatment which is a blend of all natural and vegan oil including:

  • Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) seed oil
  • Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) oil
  • Aleurites moluccana (Kukui) nut oil
  • Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia) nut oil

I’ve seen a HUGE difference in my hair from after only one use. I apply this generously all over my hair when it’s dry and let it sit through an episode of Law and Order SVU and then I rinse and wash my hair as usual. Afterwards, my hair feels so soft and my ends don’t look like a broomstick anymore! I am going to try using this as an overnight hair treatment next!

6. Hydrating Night Cream by Bodisafe

This deluxe sample size of Bodisafe’s night cream came in my LaRitzy vegan beauty box and it’s worth a mention in this month’s favourites because I’ve been solely using this night cream on its own and it has pretty much replaced all of my other skincare products that I regularly douse myself with. It has easily replaced my serum, moisturizer, and eye cream all in one. I was a bit apprehensive at first because my face felt oily after applying it but I’d wake up every morning with glowing hydrated skin!

All-in-one night cream by bodisafe is an absolute favourite of mine!

What cruelty-free and vegan beauty products are you lovin this month?

  1. Hi! All the products listed here looks amazing! Thank you for sharing!! 🙂 I was just wondering, where did you buy your Lani’s Tropical Hair Treatment?? I’ve been dying to try it out, but I also live in Vancouver and I never found their products here. Also, any other recommendations in using Lani’s Hair Treatment other than leaving it on hair and wash it? Thanks again!! 🙂

    1. Hey Hey! Urban Outfitters carries it!! I just checked their website and it says they’re all out of stock for the stores at West 4th, Downtown, and West Vancouver but maybe still see for yourself? I can imagine they sell very quickly! I’ll also try and get you a list of local distributors from the company!

I’ve heard some people use the oil on their dry ends to rehydrate and give it some life back while on the go! The oil isn’t super thick and won’t weigh down your hair… I would just use a very small amount =)

  2. Hello,
Thank you so much for your response!!!!!
I didnt think you would reply so quick, thank you so so much for all your helpful information and even searching and reaching out to the company!! I will definitely go and check out Urban Outfitters!!! I cant wait to try it!!! 🙂

  3. Hi! Love your blog. Can you please look into two hair care brands: Macadamia Professional and Maui Moisture on their cruelty-free claims? Thanks 🙂
