Athar'a Pure Vegan and Organic Healing Skincare Routine for Acne Prone Skin

For someone who suffers from adult acne, I understand the on-going struggle to find an all-encompassing skincare routine that not only works but is also cruelty-free, vegan, and most importantly.. is made of all-natural plant-based ingredients.

I was thrilled to recently discover a Leaping Bunny certified and 100% vegan brand called Athar’a Pure where all of their skincare products are handmade and carefully crafted by a wonderful, giving, and compassionate woman named Sara.

“True Beauty is more than just outward appearance, it’s a good character, a good soul, a big heart – my products are designed with the good of people and genuine beauty in mind.. to be safe, effective, healthy and to provide a sense of healing and wellness that is everlasting.”

Sara, founder of Athar’a Pure

When Sara asked me if I had any problems with my skin, I told her about how I have very oily and acne-prone skin. She kindly suggested that I try one of Athar’a Pure’s all natural skincare routines to help me on my quest for clearer and radiant skin!

Athar’a Pure Skincare Routine for Oily/Acne Prone Skin

All of Athar’a Pure products work well on their own but to really reap all the benefits, I decided to follow and exclusively use Athar’a Pure skincare line for oily/acne prone skin for an entire week!

Athar'a Pure Vegan and Organic Healing Skincare Routine for Acne Prone Skin
Athar'a Pure Vegan Neem Healing Oil & Skin Healing Cleanser

Herbal Skin Healing Cleanser $24.95

Use daily to wash and cleanse face in the morning and at night.

This vegan facial cleanser is the real deal. It’s very gentle on the skin and does a great job of removing all of my makeup (even waterproof mascara!) but the best part of it is that it doesn’t dry out my skin like most acne cleanser does!

You only need a very little amount and it easily builds into a mild lather. It leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean and extra bonus points for how it has absolutely no smell to it! I would highly recommend this to those who are sensitive to fragrances or heavily-scented beauty products!

Ingredients: Organic Lavandula Augustifolia (Lavender Distillate), Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Leaf), Saponified organic oils of Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower), and Organic Castor Seed, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Guar Gum, Organic Salix Alba (Willow Bark), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Carageenan, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Eugenia Caryophyllata (Clove Essential Oil), Organic Juniperus Communis (Juniper), Organic Capsicum Annuum var. Aannuum (Cayenne), Panthenol (Vitamin B5) Citric Acid, Rosemary Seed Extract.

Athar'a Pure Vegan Neroli Toning Spray

Eastern Goddess Neroli Toning Spray $17.95

Use daily anytime during the day, spray & mist the toner all over cleansed face.

I’ve never actually heard of Neroli before but man oh man, this stuff smells incredible! I am super sensitive to fragrances so at first, I thought I wouldn’t like this because the smell reminded me of just straight up women’s perfume (my mom’s in particular!) But after the second day, I quickly got used to the smell and now loving it!

It’s perfect to use before bedtime, because the aroma of orange blossoms is super relaxing and calming. This vegan facial toner claims to also have antibacterial properties and helps to balance and tone skin!

Ingredients: Pure Neroli Distillate

Athar'a Pure Vegan Neem Healing Oil

Neem Healing Oil $24.95

Use daily at night, massage oil onto damp cleansed face.

I know what you’re thinking.. applying oil to oily/acne-prone skin, are you crazy!? Oh quite the contrary! Oil dissolves oil, so when using the right blend of oils, you actually help balance out your natural production of oil and it’ll help dissolve all the bad oil the skin produces that are related to breakouts!

Athar’a Pure’s vegan neem healing oil is indeed very healing! The oil blend is on the thicker side, which had me a little worried, but it absorbed beautifully into my skin and doesn’t leave my face looking like the bottom of a greasy wok! I only wish that the bottle had a dropper because it’s kind of hard controlling how much comes out of the cap and trust me when I say you only need a few drops!

When using this vegan healing neem oil after the neroli toner, you’re put in this trance of relaxation! Words can’t simply describe how perfectly these two products work beautifully together!

Ingredients: Neem Oil, Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil, Sweet Almond oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Lavender, Rosemary, Rose Geranium, Frankincense and Myrrh.

Athar'a Pure Vegan Acne Healing Face Mask

Multan Acne Healing Face Mask $24.95

Use weekly or bi-weekly. Mix powder with equal parts water to get a creamy paste. Apply thick layer all over face, leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly.

This vegan clay mask by Athar’a Pure claims to help with serious acne to deeply clean pores, remove blackheads, heal inflamed skin and treat cystic acne.

Athar’a Pure’s acne healing face mask is like a traditional clay masks where it hardens within a matter of minutes after applying. Where your skin feels tight and the mask will start to crack if you talk!

I used the mask twice and it didn’t dry out my skin which was what I was a little worried about. My skin felt smoother and softer after using the mask!

Ingredients: Multan Clay, Bentonite Clay, Activated Charcoal

Athar'a Pure Vegan Moroccan Coffee Eye Cream

Moroccan Coffee Eye Cream $24.95

As an added bonus, I also got to treat myself to Athar’a Pure’s Moroccan Coffee Eye Cream! and it really does live up to all its hype and claims! It applies like a light cream and absorbs instantly into the skin. This vegan and organic eye cream by Athar’a Pure is loaded with antioxidants to help hydrate the skin, reduce dark circles, and soften fine lines.

Anytime I want to look more alert or awake, I apply some of this eye cream and I feel that my skin looks more hydrated and that I had a full 8 hours of sleep! It has absolutely no smell to it, I would actually recommend this to anyone who may have sensitive skin and hasn’t found an organic and vegan eye cream yet!

Ingredients: organic shea butter, organic avocado oil, organic Argan oil, coffee seed oil, vegetable glycerin, organic lavender oil, organic sage oil, organic chamomile, organic aloe, organic coconut oil, organic hemp seed oil, green tea, vitamin e

Overall experience of Athar’a Vegan Skincare Products for Oily/Acne prone Skin

After a week of using Athar’a skincare products, I thought my skin was going to freak out with all these new products I was introducing to it but surprisingly, my skin adjusted quite well. I think it’s got to do with the fact that all of Athar’a Pure products are all natural, made with only plant-based ingredients and all the formulas in this routine were made to be very gentle on the skin.

There’s two things I’ve noticed after using Athar’a Pure skincare products for my oily/acne-prone skin.

1. I had a row of small bumps along my right jawline where I noticed the bumps have significantly reduced! Now my skin feels smoother and softer.

2. I also had a couple of inflamed acne the day I opened my package and after the week of using Athar’a Pure’s skincare routine, I’ve noticed the healing time was a lot faster than usual … but best of all, none of these products dried out my skin!

Now, these are no clinical trials and I can only speak from my experience of using these products for a little over a week but so far, I’m very impressed with these organic and vegan skincare products I tried from Athar’a Pure! Sara was right to name these products as “healing” because I really do believe that by using all natural, plant-based products that we can essentially heal our skin and not just masking or covering up the symptoms.

I’m definitely looking forward to continue to incorporate Athar’a Pure skincare routine in my daily regimen! If it’s one product that I would recommend trying out first, it’s gotta be the Herbal Skin Healing Cleanser!

But if you have any specific skincare questions or need a skin consultation, definitely reach out to Sara on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email, she’d be more than happy to help you in any way she can!

Have you heard of Athar’a Pure vegan and natural skincare products before? Which products would you like to try?
